Choosing the right hearing aid style depends on several factors, including your degree of hearing loss, lifestyle, dexterity, and aesthetic preferences. Modern hearing aids come in a variety of styles to suit different needs.

Behind-the-Ear (BTE)

BTE hearing aids rest behind the ear and are connected to a custom earpiece or dome in the ear canal. They are suitable for all types of hearing loss, from mild to profound, and are known for their durability and power.

Receiver-in-Canal (RIC)

RIC devices are similar to BTEs but place the speaker (receiver) directly in the ear canal, connected by a thin wire. This design offers a more natural sound quality and a highly discreet appearance.

In-the-Ear (ITE)

ITE hearing aids are custom-molded to fit securely in the outer bowl of your ear. They are easy to handle and can accommodate larger batteries and controls, making them ideal for users with dexterity issues.

In-the-Canal (ITC) and Completely-in-Canal (CIC)

These custom styles fit partially or entirely inside the ear canal. They are very discreet and use the ear’s natural shape to funnel sound.

Invisible-in-Canal (IIC)

The smallest custom style available, IIC hearing aids sit deep within the ear canal, making them virtually invisible to others.
